Day One....

Today was my first day at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. As first days go this was pretty easy. Lots of policy/procedure info and signing of HR paperwork. Employee handbook to review and read. Some food menus to understand.
The resort is 5 diamond 4 star resort year after year. The service is top notch. The guest rooms are unbelievable. And the clientele it caters too is very demanding at times along with the occasional high profile guest. It really is a very special place, if you can afford it!!
I will be assigned to the recreation department as pool attendant. This is the first time I've ever clocked-in for a job! I better remember to do that everyday otherwise I won't get paid!!

Guest suite at Four Seasons Hualalai Resort. $$$$

Sea Shell Pool, perfect for families and small keiki.

Sea Shell Pool

Kings Pond. Resident stingrays and eagle rays along with many tropical fish. Brackish water. (salt water and fresh water, tidal pool)

Beach Tree Pool. (25m lap pool) Mostly caters to adults. Very quiet area perfect for reading a book and cooling off with some butterfly sprints.

Will keep you posted how it goes. Maybe someone can make a movie of me as a pool boy! Kinda on the likes of National Lampoon comedy or Adam Sandler gig!! I already have some scenes in mind we can shoot!! LOL!! "National Lampoon's Hawaii Vacation"!

Wear plenty of sunscreen! It is actually nice and quiet in that hotel complex (we once traveled the beach access roads and looked around - that is free but few people go since they probably don't want to have to stop at the gate). Maybe you will meet some of your movie star friends there when they fly in in their private jets for Christmas. I hope you can also put your writing skills to use as you have a lot of talent you won't get to use when handing out beach towels or pulling toads out of the pool. A little over 200 days and I may be there!
