Thomas Jefferson, author of Declaration of Independence, at age 33! Arguably one of the most powerful pieces ever written. Coincidentally, Thomas Jefferson died on the 50th anniversary of his presentation piece to the Continental Congress, July 4, 1826. (side note: Thomas Jefferson cut the national dept by 1/3 during his presidency. Wonder if he could help us out today?)
When John F Kennedy hosted 41 Nobel Prize winners in the White House (1962) he said, " I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent and human knowledge that has ever be gathered at The White House, with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone."

Happy 4th July! Maybe one regret of mine is that I never got an American citizenship at some point in my life, but I guess we can't be everything. At least our children speak English with American (or should I say Hawai'ian) accents.
