Inspired to write

At the beach today. Brought my trusty writing tool and pad of paper. Never sought out to write over 15 pages of stuff today but it just flowed out of me like an Hawaiian waterfall to the ocean.

The story I wrote needs to be "fine tuned" and transferred over to computer from paper. The story is fiction with "semi-true" events thrown in just for fun. Someday I may post it on my blog. But for now it sits quietly in my night stand waiting for me to finish the end. I say about 2 more pages of creative writing and I will complete my story.

Right now as it stands I call the story "The Postcard". Perhaps destined for Short Film at Sundance Film Festival someday!! LOL! I'm just waiting for me to stamp the postcard and mail it out to my readers.... strictly for entertainment purposes!

Some of the characters in the story are true but their names changed.
Some of the events in the story actually occurred but loosely exaggerated.

It is a novel tale about a boy from the mid-west who finds adventure after college graduation. He sets out to expand his boundaries from the rolling corn fields of mid-west and meets some interesting characters along the way. The principle character, Liam, finds himself adapting and adjusting to his new environments but also fights his mental thoughts about returning to his home he knows so well. With little money in his wallet he purchases a one-way ticket out west. He sets his sights on Seattle and wants to meet up with his college buddy John & his wife Kelly. But his adventure doesn't end in the NW. He eventually meets a girl then another girl. Language becomes an issue as well as distance. Liam takes ownership of a dog and they travel many miles together. Liam's dog is a very special dog and a very "lucky" dog.

Well, that's just a tiny snippet of what I wrote today. Just haven't finished it yet. But have a good idea how to end it. So, if this above snippet sounds interesting to you the reader please let me know and I may publish it on my blog someday for your review.

The beach inspired me to just write.
