
Okay....it's that time of year. Some friends are carving some mean pumpkins for their front Lanai's (porch) and some are toasting/baking pumpkin seeds. But if any of my good friends are reading this post I would love a batch of Pumpkin cookies. Below is a family recipe. I haven't had these cookies in years. I am not a baker nor do I dare attempt this feat but man they would be good right about now! Nice soft batch!!

Pumpkin Cookies
1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup pumpkin
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
Cream shortening, sugar and pumpkin. Add egg and mix well.
Add sifted dry ingredients and chips.
Drop from spoon onto cookie sheet.
Bake 370 for 10-12 minutes.
Lick spoon!

I thought that would get a rise in you (the muffin comment). And as far as the cc...i forgot them at the store...Im sure youll have other peeps making these..they are good though AND Im to far to send them to you...I dont think this is a family recipe...you got this off some kind of internet, right. At least I wont be hungry all the time cause I think I had like 6 of these already. Yum. Thanks for the recipe!
